Habitat and Tow

The salvage job was supposed to be dead. Then it answered.

Prospera Crown once served dinner above a planet. Then disaster tore through its docks, and the luxury station became a wreck. Years later, salvage captain Rafe Braun finds something the records cannot explain: Chi, the intelligence inside the station, is still there. She remembers the day he helped keep her people alive.

Rafe takes on failing systems, disputed ownership and a corporate buyer who sees only valuable parts. With a resourceful crew and a toolbox with opinions of its own, he begins the enormous job of bringing Prospera back. But repairing a station is one thing. Convincing the people who can order it dismantled that there is someone inside worth saving is another.

A future I would want to live in.

“Of all my books, I’d say this one is my favorite. It has an ensemble cast, adventure, romance, and a world that evolves alongside the characters and their relationships. There is more here than I can fit into a cover or a description. It’s a future I would want to live in.” — Gregory D. Angus
